How to use Pinterest for music education

I'm not going to explain what it is and how to create an account because you can just search on Google and you will find all the information.

I want to share with you how to use it effectively to find a lot of ideas and information on music education.

Pinterest works like all social networks (I follow those who interest me and I receive updates) but is focused on a visual experience of the web. Each user creates and organizes boards pinning things about that board. A picture from a blog will contain the link to the blog from which it was taken (the button 'Pin it' does just that and is well explained in the 'Help' section of Pinterest).

Are you starting to understand what are the possibilities for music education?

The thing to do is to follow right users, the users involved in music education.

How is it done?

Easy: in the 'Search' field type keywords such as 'music education', 'Orff Schulwerk', 'music instruments', 'Kodaly' and begin to follow boards and users you find interesting. Just follow a bit and then check your 'Home'... your screen will be filled with pictures and comments that you can repin on your boards, or just surf (going to blog / source). You will notice that it will be extremely easy to follow other users and boards because every 'Pin' is accompanied by users information you are not following.

You have no idea how many interesting blogs I discovered on Pinterest!!

You can start from my profile as an example and then create your boards :)
